Hello, Fall! This Season, get Back to Basics
The Fall season is all about new beginnings so in my first blog post of the season I want to talk about the challenge we all face in delivering something “new” in our markets. Doesn’t it seem like lately new companies are coming out of nowhere and BOOM – completely disrupting an industry? How are the rest of us supposed to compete and position ourselves for the future?
I can’t help but think about how [Company name here] started life many years ago as a document conversion company specializing in converting virtually any document to an Adobe PDF. With this simple yet innovative idea our product found its way into the offices of the largest and most important companies across the world.
It was humbling and rewarding. But we wanted to do more.
Which brings me back to the start of Fall and the place many of us find ourselves – struggling to innovate in a way that sets us apart from the competition. It can be overwhelming to look at data, connect the dots, uncover trends and find your underlying niche. But let’s not forget the basics (no matter our age Fall brings us back to school, right?). At the heart of every business is the customer experience. Improving this one aspect greatly improves a companies’ ability to attract and retain customers.
So how does a document conversion company fit into this?
Well, we started by providing the ability to ingest virtually any document format but I challenge you to go further. You can now add the ability to make any PDF fully searchable with incredible quality - and then analyze the text in the same way a human would read it. By leveraging some advanced computing techniques you can discover some amazing things. You can now:
• Filter content
• Locate key data and risky data inside content
• Organize content by document type
• Uncover duplicate content, similar content and content anomalies
• Extract data from content
And you can do all of these things are part of an automated, intelligent workflow… pretty cool stuff. So cool, in fact, that Forrester has recognized [Company name here] as a leader in their brand new File Analytics wave.
I invite you to check out this new technology and challenge you to consider how you can improve the customer experience.
